Licensed Brainbox games

At BrainBox most of our games are based on ideas that we come up with, but sometimes we produce some based on books, films or TV programmes. It may be because we think they’re a good fit, or because BrainBox fans have asked for it, or even because it’s something we really like.

In the past the range included titles like Horrible Histories, the Mister Men, Mister Maker and even Marvin’s Magic – someone was obviously fond of games with alliterative titles. These days we’ve trimmed it down a bit, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t working on more. At the moment there are BrainBoxes based on these favourites:

Roald Dahl – this lovely box covers six of the storytelling giant’s best-loved books, including the BFG, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the Twits, all illustrated with Quentin Blake’s hilarious art. There’s an expanded board game version of the game as well, for the serious Dahl fans.

Peppa Pig – for younger players or at least the young at heart, this BrainBox brings all the fun of the world’s favourite piglet to the world of games. Perfect for introducing your own little piggies to games, and helping with the observation, memory and reading skills. Like Roald Dahl, there’s also a board game version with extra cards and extra play.

AND SOMETHING ELSE! We can’t tell you what we’re working on at the moment, but we can say that it’ll be out early in 2021, and we think it’s going to be magical, but it won’t be ready for a spell. If you’re wondering what this Game Who Must Not Be Named could possibly be and the tension is driving you potter – we mean potty – then check back here in a few weeks for more information and maybe an exclusive preview!
